  1. Ooh I love everything about France! The food, the fashion, the wine – the whole shebang. I can’t wait to go back and visit again, but this would be an excellent substitute for now!

  2. The effortless sophistication of Parisian women. And being able to buy the most delicious produce in your everyday, run-of-the mill supermarket.

  3. Well I’ve never been to France but I would have to say my favourite thing is their food. Its still my fave cuisine after all the trendy things happening in Melbourne. I would still pick a French restaurant over the hippest new hangout.

  4. The French cuisine is so diverse and flavorsome that you can’t help but try everything once. I loved eating out in France as there was so much to choose from!

  5. I love using the Velib bikes to ride around Paris. Because the first thirty minutes are free this encourages you to stop and change over every half hour. This is a great way to discover parts of Paris you wouldn’t normally find as a tourist. In our last trip we found one area with about six shops just specializing in graphic novels which the kids browsed through while we grabbed a coffee – such a great way to break up a day of exploring.

  6. Croissant et baguette. In France I can indulge my love of gluten without being judged by people on faux-health kicks.

  7. It is my absolutely favorite country – from the people to the landscape: Paris’s low-rise cityscape, the rivers and canals of the towns and provinces, the history and the historic architecture, and of course the food and the language.

  11. I love the contrast in which the French do things. Simple makeup, hair and clothes, juxtaposed with more complex food and language. Also, when I was in France years ago, there wasn’t a morning that I didn’t have a chocolate filled croissant! That, has to be one of life’s simple pleasures.
