Museum Victoria has just announced that Melbourne Museum will host the world premiere of Jurassic World: The Exhibition, opening on Friday 18 March 2016. The exhibition is based on Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World, one of the biggest blockbusters in cinema history.
Jurassic World: The Exhibition is the closest any of us will get to a real dinosaur and based on my encounter with a moving, roaring T-Rex, it’s going to be thrilling for young and old.
The Exhibition features encounters with realistic, life-size animatronic dinosaurs set in highly themed environments inspired by the film. I was sitting in the second row for the media announcement and can assure you that having a dinosaur stare and blink at you is a completely freaky experience!
The dinosaurs are being developed by Melbourne’s own Creature Technology Company, renowned for producing the world’s most technologically sophisticated and realistic animatronics for arena spectaculars and stage shows, including those featured in the worldwide hit Walking with Dinosaurs.
Melbourne is a first stop for a 5 year global tour and it’s so exciting that our city is hosting the world premiere. Tickets are on sale NOW! Due to anticipated demand, advance purchase is strongly recommended.
