I’m not very good at taking care of my clothes and shoes, but even I didn’t expect salt water damage from walking in the rain in my pastel blue Coccinelle slingbacks. Or that time I spilt truffle oil over my Tamara Fogle embossed leather handbag. Or the beaded decoration simply falling off my Antik Batik ballet flats one day.
Thank God for Evans. They’ve been in the leather restoration and shoe repair service for over 50 years and their olde worlde workshop sits atop an old-fashioned spiral staircase fitted in their narrow shop in Royal Arcade. They’re not cheap (frankly these kind of services never are) but I completely trust their care and workmanship. I should just really be more careful next time.
